equal treatment/support

Monday August 11, 2008 @ 10:57 AM EDT

Does everyone get treated equally in Nascar? There are 2 different ways I’m looking at this question.

First-manufactuers. We all know JGR left Chevy for Toyota because Gibbs didn’t want to get less support from GM then HMS gets. WTH? Being my team drives Chevy’s this scares me. So we were getting sloppy 3rd’s? I think they should only support as many teams as they can afford to equally. Am I wrong in how I understood that? Do they all get equal support?

Second-individual teams. You hear folks saying “so and so” will be the 5th wheel, that with all those superstars he’ll not be given the “good stuff”. WTH? I see no reason as a team owner not to support all your teams equally. That just doesn’t make any business sense to me. Why would you put your name on something you knew didn’t have the tools to be competetive?.

So what do YOU think?

Do the manufactuers support all their teams equally?

How about the car owners? Do they support all their drivers equally?

If ya take the time to respond can you cite instances or reasonings for your views? Thanks!cool.png
