Labonte was transported by ground to a local hospital in Elmira N.Y. to be further checked out after stating he had discomfort in his rib and abdominal area.
Team Vice President Robbie Loomis did not believe Bobby was seriously hurt despite it being a “heck of a wreck”,stating earlier that “they think he’s o.k.”
Nascar officials say he has been cleared to resume competition.
