Sweet mcpainttex
I appreciate any and all tips. I do hate grid lock traffic and will follow yours and UncleFugly’s advice for getting in and getting out. Big Thanks!
Big tip on the times to buy too.

Fall race @ Texas
Hey Bomb
The tickets go on sale shortly after the spring race or the fall race for spring tickets.
I like to sit low about row 10-15 you can feel the breeze and get a little grit in your teeth, and the smell is da bomb. I also like to sit at the exit to pit road to see who wins that race. Ther’s also a huge monitor behind pit road so you can watch instant replays and whats going on through the back stretch. For parking if you come south from denton to the track stay in the left lane and save an hour of sitting in line when you get to the track don’t take the first exit go to the second exit and park in the big parking lot by the campground shower/restroom.

You'll have fun!
I agree, get row 17 or higher. If your too close it’s not a good view, the cars scream by and you can’t see em but for a second! Higher up and you can see them go around the entire track as they battle other cars. You can walk around with the camera and get down lower for different picture angles. Also, BRING binoculars 10×40 or whatever you can buy at walmart for $40.
IMPORTANT, get there early!Shoot for 9 or 10 in the morning so you can walk around, buy stuff and not get caught in the traffic.
Also, when you leave …I usually just wait 40 mins for the traffic to thin out. It’s better to sit around the truck and eat some snack then get stuck in an hour of traffic. You’ll get home at the same time.
You can go to the Texas track website and they have all the rules about coolers. Some have to be 17″ × 14″… pack em with CANS not bottles and some snacks.
You can’t make a mistake, just going to the race is so much fun!

So is it cheaper/better
to get tickets from the track?
Parking is good? I’ll hold ya to that.
If I want pictures of Kevin winning sit on the start/finish line.
I think I seen victory circle passes too, they might of been the really spendy ones.
