I heard Brad Douhtery say that recently. Who’s perception? I believe there are two sides to every story,so seriously who’s perception?
I started out an Earnhardt/RCR fan, then a Harvick/RCR fan that rooted for DEI/Jr. Things change.
It all started last year when Jr said he wanted control of DEI to save it from certain ruin at the hands of Teresa. No one was talking crap before then. I was like “WTH”?
Teresa hired Max to be a go between for her and Jr,she offered to sell him controlling interest of the company, she bought the 7 post rig, merged engine programs with RCR,and when it all failed to satisfy Jr and he left, she agreed to release the #8 for him to use while with Hendrick.
Jr blew engine after engine last year while Martin Truex Jr made the chase,Jr admitted repeatly to over driving the car, when offered controlling shares like he said he wanted he decided he no longer wanted it as “things had gone too far allready”,after saying he wanted to keep the #8 for “his fans” and the oppurtunity arose he said no because DEI-Teresa and “all” the heirs-would still be getting royalties from it.
I actually heard someone say “how nice” Teresa lets JRMotorSports “borrow” Truex Jr and Mark Martin for Nationwide races. Now Mark Martin is driving the #5 for HMS after a championship next year. Again “WTH”?
Is Jr using his inluence to “lure” DEI’s talent away? Like he used his popularity to influence the All Star Race fan vote to get who “he wanted” in?
I see an honorable woman of class who is trying her hardest to continue to full fill her husbands dreams the best she can. So she doesn’t come to the track. Can ya blame her?
Now there are rumours that DEI is 100% for sale and Jr isn’t interested. Why? Isn’t that what he wanted when this all started last year?
So now I’m a Harvick/RCR fan who roots for DEI and will continue to buy any and all #3 products I can find for as long as I can.
Happy racin’!

doing the same thing?
Probably.
The name calling really gets to me,and while I try not to sling it back,I do sometimes stumble and end up rolling around in the mud.
Jr did “try” once to get it to stop. You’d think people could leave it rest now.
Chances are though in the future,I will still be trying to defend her from attack.

Did not take it rudly
I think that you are doing the same thing to Jr as you say others are doing to stepmom. You do not know what his motives where, just as none of us know what her motives where. As a daughter to a man that owns his on company, I am sure that all of Sr’s kids scrificed for that company. The long hours that it takes to run a buisness, plus he was also a driver. That does not leave much time for family. I know that I have a interview on DVD with Sr that stated he was building DEI for his family not just his wife. So I think that some how they are not getting a fair shake. I am not just talking about Jr, but all 4 of his kids. I think Jr handle is self respectivly, he tried not to get into family buisness in the news. I am sure it was a hard thing for both of them to go through and I hope that at some point they can come to grips with it they are family. I do not have ill feeling or wish for her, I hope things get better at DEI.

Why go on? I logged on for the first time in 2 weeks and saw hate being spewed towards Teresa. It strikes a nerve with me. I left 1 comment on a blog and someone came to my profile asking how I could fault Jr? I just wanted to say my peice and tried not to say it rudely. Wasn’t trying to strike a nerve back.

I don't think
any of us know the whole story, so why decide who is right or wrong. They both did what they thought was best for themselves. It seems to be going good for Jr, I don’t know about Stepmom, but I hope so because I would hate to see anyones dream go under. And Brad seems to be right, it is all how each of us precive it to be, since none of us where there for any of their meetings and we have no close connection with either to know what they feel now or then. So why go on about it.

wow
never really looked at it that way
I don’t dislike Teresa at all. I feel for her on her loss of her husband……But I do like Jr and feel for him as well because I can relate to him having lost my dad as well. So I guess basically I am a little torn between it all.

Jr has moved on, he can not BUY DEI now
He already has made arrangements!
Jr has done what was best for Jr. Nothing wrong with that, like Tony. As for “Overdriving” If you think he has been "Taking it easy this year you are CRAZY!
DEI had their chance, they blew it!! Why should Jr keep paying or letting her make money off of him? That is insane.
Mark Martin well I cant see him running for a championship, if he wanted that, why quit last year while in the points lead?
I DONT GET THAT!!!
He will be a factor in that 5 car though, I think.

I'm gonna catch alot of crap for this But....
If it had been any other driver on any other team, they would have been called an inconsiderate spoiled brat!
They way I see it, Teresa is trying her damnedest to Keep DEI up and going. She was the buisness end of tyhe duo. She knows books and buisness! She doesn’t know racing. So instead of just giving up and closing down, she hires people to handle the racing side of it. She hopes they are as smart as they claim to keep DEI competative and running!
So, they do not do so well. But look at DEI, The buisness side of it is as strong as ever!
But the racing side isn’t so good. A driver from last year didn’t try to help matters either!
Awesomely great blog!
