Truex has bad day
Martin Truex Jr finished 21st in the number 1 car on Sunday at Michigan. He lost one spot in the points. He fell from 23rd to 24th in driver points. He will most likely not make the Chase this year, but there are high hopes for next year as he will go to MWR next year. There are 3 races until this year's chase.

Points Update After Watkins Glen
Martin Truex Jr is currently 23rd in the Sprint Cup Series Points. He has 2117 points and is 1266 points behind the points leader, Tony Stewart. This is after 22 races.

Truex Jr to MWR- OFFICIAL
Well, it's official, MWR has a new driver, Martin Truex Jr. The press conference was just on SPEED. Notes from the press conference:
* Multi-Year Contract
* NAPA as sponsor
* Car Number is 56
* Michael Waltrip to run part time in #55. Daytona 500 and other races.
* Starts next year(2010)
* Commited to EGR the rest of the year.

Truex Jr to MWR announcement Tuesday
Tuesday at 12:30 pm ET, there is a press conference scheduled at Michael Waltrip Racing. One of the rumors that is that Martin Truex Jr will leave EGR and go to MWR next year. That is what the press conference should be about. I am not sure about the number or anything, but I am hearing it could be 55, replacing Waltrip, or 56, if Waltrip races part time next year. Not a good finish for Truex Jr.
It was a bad finish for Martin Truex Jr in the number 1 car this weekend at Daytona for the Coke Zero 400. Martin finished in 25th, just adding dissapointment to the season yet again.

Terrible Finish For Truex
What seemed to be like would end up as a good finish, turned bad, after a restart during the race. Truex was running in the top 10 when cars began to check up, then Kyle Busch got into the back of Martin Truex Jr, who spun, which started a big crash. Truex finished 37th. Later, after the race, Busch took the blame for what happened.

Tough Race For Truex
It was a tough race for Martin Truex Jr today for the Toyota/SaveMart 350 at Infineon Raceway. Truex finished 25th today after strategy did not go his way. Truex did not have the finish that he was looking for in the number 1 chevy.

Practice Speeds for Truex
In the second practice which occured earlier today for the Toyota/SaveMart 350 at Infineon, Martin Truex Jr. was 17th in the number 1 chevy. In the final practice he was 25th fastest.
