First race I went to:

Today – 5.24.08 – truck race in Mansfield. I still have dirt on me in places I thought unreachable from the track. Actually, my dad just told me that he and my mom went to the first Pocono race in 68, when she was pregnant with me and pretty damn mad she had to sleep in a station wagon and use an outhouse.

Most memorable NASCAR moment(s):

My dad, his brother, my granddad, and various male cousins going to races when I was a little girl, and I cried to go with them. They all laughed except my dad, who always sent me a postcard. This was back when the names Pearson, Yarborough, and Baker were on top, and Waltrip and Petty were on the rise.
