The simple answer is: participate in the Community! Fill out your profile, upload cool photos, write interesting blogs, be active in a crew and post comments. Featured members, crews and content are rotated out regularly so that everyone has a chance to be featured. Chances are, if you are active in the community you will be featured at some time or another!

2. What are emoticons and how do I add them to my blogs and comments?

Emoticons must be preceded by a non-word character which is not part of another emoticon. So if you do several emoticons in a row, there must be a space between them and you need a space or punctuation at the end of a sentence before starting a new one.

ALSO…you may need to do a power-refresh to make sure you can see the new emoticons instead of the old ones. To do a power-refresh, hold down both your ctrl key and your shift key while pressing F5 (or clicking the refresh button in your browser)

4. What are tags?
Tags are labels that offer a way of searching and sorting content on the Community—blogs, photos and videos. They are used to classify subject matter. For instance, a blog about Matt Kenseth winning a race at Michigan might be tagged with any or all of the words “Michigan”, “Matt Kenseth”, “MIS” “Kenseth”, etc. A photo of Clint Bowyer and Casey Mears wrecking might have the tags “Bowyer”, “Crash”, “Mears”, “25”, etc.

At the bottom of each blog, photo or video page is an option to “Add Tags”. Click on it and you will get a form to enter your tags. Enter single words or type phrases between quotation marks. Ex. “Daytona 500”, Richmond, “Dale Jarrett”. Click the “Tag” button and you’re done!

Once tags are applied to photos, videos and blogs, you can click on particular tags to see other content that has been tagged the same way. For example, if you click on the “Clint Bowyer” tag you will get a list of more photos, blogs and videos that have been tagged with “Clint Bowyer”. Consistent and correct tagging of content will provide members with a useful way of searching for specific items.
