Crew Cheif Penalties, Probations, and Fines I saw that Kurt Busch's crew cheif was put on probation for something Kurt did. I'm not sure why NASCAR puts the crew cheifs on probation. It's not their fault that their driver did something crazy. Unless you hear the crew cheif say on the radio ''I need you to drive through Ryan's pit box to make everyone on the team mad.''. You never hear them say that. During the race the crew cheif's jo... more

TRIBUTE TO OUR SERVICE MEMBERS--Armed Forces Day 19 April 2012, 1950--The first Armed Forces Day was celebrated by parades, open houses, receptions, and air shows.  In Washington D.C., 10,000 troops of all branches of the military, cadets, and veterans marched pass the President and his party.  In Berlin, 1,000 U.S. troops paraded for the German citizens at Templehof Airfiled.  In New York City, an estimated 33,000... more

What's yours? Due to the recent increase in the amount of blown gaskets in NASCAR I have to ask what is your favorite fight ever to happen in NASCAR? It seems that there is always a fight at a race or at least a heated argument. Why? I have no clue. From the fight between Ryan Newmans and Kurt Buschs team  and the very mediocre dispute between long time friends Danica Patrick and Sam Hornish Jr. My... more

Wrecking in Nascar To paraphrase the comedian Dane Cook. In a comedy CD of his he said that as a society we love car wrecks. If a wreck were to happen outside of our house in the middle of the night we would go out and investigate it and sit around and talk about the wreck for hours even after the wreck has been cleared. He is right in a way. It happens on our way to work. You will hear about a car wreck that... more

Where the Action is - Your Local Tracks This last Saturday night I went to one of our local tracks in the area (about 90 minutes away).  This was a track called Grays Harbor Raceway located in Washington State.  This track is a dirt track and I haven't been there in years.  It was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest so the drive there was very enjoyable.  Blue sky, blue water, green trees, mountains in the... more

A haunting We all have them. Those embarrassing childhood pics. When I got home today I decided I would look through my tons of photo albums with my best friend and my boyfriend. And omg! There was one of my baby pictures that I swear there must be millions of. It seems that every time I destroy one then 50 more take its place. It  was funny to those two but not at all to me. You know it is bad when... more

NASCAR's Back? Well it only took us 'til Talladega, and now Darlington, to see some good racing and action on and off the track.  With these cookie cutter 1.5 mile tracks, and tracks with hardly any banking at all, what did NASCAR expect?  If you mess around with the points system and make drivers value "points racing" as opposed to the the hard side by side, door banging racing we all grew up... more
