I'm a racing fan, but I also love football, basketball, funny movies, tv, music, books on athletes, and girls. I started watching NASCAR in '98. Chose Tony Stewart as my favorite in 1999. I liked his bright orange car and he was new to NASCAR too, and for a 9 year old thats all it took. Since then I have become a better fan, and really respect and appreciate the history of this great sport. I was a huge fan of the JGR organization while Tony and Bobby Labonte were tearing up the track in the early 2000s. Then the transition to Denny Hamlin, and yeah I even gained respect for Kyle Busch (even though I don't agree with his battles he is a great wheelman) Now on to the new Stewart-Haas Racing team. I was slightly skeptical at the whole thing. I had never been a big Newman fan, I didn't care for the Haas organization, and Hendrick Motorsports was the team I disliked the most! However, as the pieces fell into place, and I watched who Tony and the rest of the team brought into the organization I started coming around. I believed that the team would do okay, and maybe challenge for a Chase, but I'm happy and proud to say I was completely wrong! The team has proven what great minds and hard work can do in this sport as they have not only competed, but have dominated stretches of the season. While the 39 team hasn't been as consistent and I would like to see them get over that **** and win a race, they do what they have to do in order to get the job done and gain a solid top 10. I wish nothing but continued success and look forward to the final weeks of the season. Maybe SHR can pull a NASCAR upset and win the Cup title in their first year together!
