Keepers and Sleepers: Darlington
If you're "old school" like me (not necessarily "old", just "old school"), you're going to love this weekend. Everything about Darlington is a throwback. The track. The painted walls. The way it races. The way the cars look when the checkered flag has flown. Personally, I wish they would bring back the retro paint schemes. Kinda like how Major League...

Keepers and Sleepers: Talladega
It's Talladega time. Anything can -- and will -- happen. We saw how the new shorter spoiler (amongst other things) made tandem drafting more difficult. It should be a wild one this weekend. And unlike last week, when I predicted Jeff Gordon's streak of bad luck would come to an end (it didn't), I'm not going to going to talk "luck" this weekend -- it's more fickle here...

Keepers and Sleepers: Richmond
Off to Richmond International Raceway this weekend. Perhaps I'm just a "short track kinda guy", but this track definitely falls in my personal top three (Martinsville and Bristol being the other two). There's no bad seat in the house...but my personal favorite is in the middle of Turns 3 and 4. There's something about watching the drivers dive, beat, bang and battle into the...

Keepers and Sleepers: Kansas
We're off to the second of consecutive mile-and-a-half tracks, this time at Kansas Speedway. The flat racing surface will be repaved after Sunday's race, but as it stands now, it features a worn surface that can leave drivers looking for grip.
THE KEEPERS
Greg Biffle. I picked him last week (somewhat of a no-brainer) and I'm going back-to-back with "The Biff". The...

Keepers and Sleepers: Texas
I hope everbody had a happy Easter and enjoyed the weekend off. We're back to racing this Saturday night in the Lone Star State. One of the fastest tracks on the circuit, Texas Motor Speedway is one of a few where Roush Fenway Racing traditionally dominates. If you can, load up your roster with the blue oval drivers and fill in from there.

Keepers and Sleepers: Martinsville
If you're into "old school", then this weekend is for you. Martinsville is NASCAR's oldest track on the circuit and features classic "beating and banging" short track racing. It's hard to pass at Martinsville and with only two grooves (one being highly preferred), the bumper comes into play a lot. It's a track of "haves" and "have-nots". Generally speaking, you'll see...

Keepers and Sleepers: Fontana
We head back to the left coast (self included) for the Auto Club 400 in sunny California. It's a super fast track where plenty of ponies and lots of downforce rule the school. Anybody have any tips for beating jet lag?
THE KEEPERS
Jimmie Johnson. The results are in. Chad Knaus will be atop the 48 war wagon on Sunday and the five-time champion got his 25 points...

Keepers and Sleepers: Bristol
From our first mile-and-a-half track of the season to our first short track of the year...we're onto Bristol. The first time I saw a race at the track, I was immediately in love. It's changed throughout the years, but it's still one of the best venues to see some good, close quarters racing.

Keepers and Sleepers: Las Vegas
It's time for the first race on a mile-and-a-half track this season -- and this is usually a place where the cream rises to the top. Daytona is a plate race where anything can happen, Phoenix is a track all unto itself, but Las Vegas can give us a glimpse as to which teams are in it for the long haul this year.

Keepers and Sleepers: Phoenix
With Daytona finally in the books, we make the long trek westbound to Phoenix. Much like Daytona is somewhat of a wildcard, Phoenix can be somewhat as well in that we have very little data to reflect on in terms of performance on the recently reconfigured surface. Alas, I'll give it my best go...
