On this day in 1972, David Pearson won the Motor State 400 at Michigan in the Wood Brothers Mercury. He was followed by Bobby Allison in the famous Coke Monte Carlo. Third went to the King in a 72 Dodge. Fourth went to James Hylton in a 1970 Ford and fifth went to Ron Keselowski in a 1970 Dodge. I’m not sure but I think he is related to Junior’s Nationwide driver?
