Chicagoland Speedway is one of Brian Vickers’ best tracks! Red Bull Racing has not yet raced here, but that changes tonight when both Bullz take the track in Chicagoland’s 1st Sprint Cup night race! This week there was 1 practice on Thursday, followed by qualifying (which was rained out), and 2 practices on Friday.
In 1st practice Brian was 12th on the speed charts. He drew #6 for qualifying no one actually took the track before the rain fell. The starting grid was set by owner’s points so BV and will start tonight’s race in 15th. Brian was 17th on the charts in Friday’s early practice and 10th in Happy Hour. Brian seems very happy with the car at a track he has done really well at in the past!
Teammate AJ Allmendinger was 27th in 1st practice and will start the race in 39th. AJ was 39th and 22th respectively in the 2 practices Friday.
