I for one hope that after Kevin has held pretty steady at 8th most of the year he doesn’t manage to fall out of the points and miss the chase.Last year was his first chase and I was hoping we could be in it every year tell he wins one.Clint has also held pretty steady in top 12 since he got there,would love to see him in the chase also.I know I’m being greedy wanting all three RCR cars in there but what can I say?(Oh yeah,Jeff Burton has been a solid 5 car for 2 years now)Those of us with drivers on the edge will be on pins and needles next 2 races I’m sure waiting to see-are we in or are we out?

i agree with wirerat. jr. will need to out perform harvick, truex, and busch by a large margin to make up the difference. harvick will play it safe, which is one reason why some don’t like the chase format.

To be honest, it would take just short of a total meltdown by Harvick to miss the chase, I mean 2 DNFs, and JR would have to finish 15th or better in both races. Same goes for Truex, and Busch. The top 12 as you see it now, is very likely what we are going to see in the chase. I know it’s too early to be saying that with absolute certainty, but I don’t think we have anything to worry about. Jr is going to have a near impossible time catching Busch, much less the guys above Busch.
