Bourbon Fruit Dip

1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups sour cream
Confectioners’ sugar

In a small saucepan, melt the brown sugar with the bourbon and get it hot enough to “boil” off the alcohol, don’t do this in a microwave oven or your concoction may explode. Remove from the heat and let cool. Add the sour cream and thicken with confectioners’ sugar to the desired consistency for dipping. This dip works nicely with pears but that’s just my preference.
