Well, ladies and gentlemen, I am at a loss! My wife and co-workers at Target were always kidding me last season that maybe having that bullseye on the car was not a great idea ‘cause the other 42 drivers seemed to be taking it WAY too serious. We almost had pools going on a couple of ocassions as to who was going to collect the poor kid and on what lap – he just couldn’t seem to catch a break!
So here we are in race 2 of the new season, ( after a couple highly respectable finishes in the Bud Shootout and the 50th Daytona )and the winner is – ( drum roll please ) Sam Hornish!
The truly irritating thing is that he was flying the Energizer color scheme and there wasn’t a hint of Target sponsorship on the dang car!
I guess all we can do now is keep our fingers crossed that we will have more miraculous escapes this year ( I have NO idea how he avoided that wreck in Daytona ) and pull in his first win!
