Alright – we made history today in Montreal. Having never run in the rain before, the Nationwide Series pulled it off. We held our breath while the field took the green flag on a wet track with rain tires. We exhaled as the cars performed and got up to speed and really began racing. It’s really too bad the hard rain fell and shortened the race but we just couldn’t continue. The cars were beginning to hit big puddles causing them to hydroplane. So the race was called after 48 laps.
It’s pretty damn nice to see the enthusiasm from guys like Ron Fellows, Patrick Carpentier, and Marcos Ambrose who finished 1,2,3 respectively. Patrick was truly disappointed that he didn’t win the race. Marcos made a comment about hitting the beer hard tonight to help him forget about potentially giving away a win with his pit road mistake.
I can’t say enough about the Montreal fans. As the rain came they didn’t budge from their seats – in fact they continued to chant and cheer on the field with each pass. Montreal is a great city and loves NASCAR. I’m already looking forward to going back. Now, on to Pocono tomorrow for 500 miles in Long Pond, PA. Race is on ESPN with a green flag at 2:15.

Thank you NASCAR!
For the second year in a row I was at the race im my home town last week end. What a show the guys put on once again. I am proud to say that I was attending the first ever Nationwide race held under the rain!
Thanks so much NASCAR for coming to Montreal and I hope that we will be enjoying a race for many years to come, because as you have seen once again this year, the fans are there!
If ever an additional road course race is added to the Cup schedule it has to be here!
MERCI NASCAR!

Loved it
I Felt bad about Ambrose and Logano, but just watching the cars race in the rain like that……NEVER did I expect to see that in my lifetime. NASCAR did a GREAT job with the Montreal race, which is rapidly becoming one of my favorites in the Nationwide Series.
