Testing in Daytona started on Jan 7th with two sessions per day, morning and afternoon. The following is the latest updates on Kenseth’s progress.
Kenseth put up some okay numbers thus far in testing. Nothing really spectacular but, not horrible either.
Currently sits 13th in the single car standings with his Jan 8th AM run of 49.265 seconds in the 17B test car and 2nd in the drafting standings with his Jan 9th PM run of 47.747 seconds in the 17B test car.
Jan 7th, AM session: Only 1.699 seconds separate 1st from 42nd, Matt came in 21st at 49.541 seconds at a speed of 181.668 driving the 17A test car.
Jan 7th, PM session: Only 1.15 seconds separate 1st from 44th, Matt came in 22nd at 49.377 seconds at a speed of 182.271 driving the 17B test car.
Jan 8th, AM session: Only 1.231 seconds separate 1st from 45th, Matt came in 16th at 49.265 seconds at a speed of 182.685 driving the 17B test car.
Jan 8th, PM session: Only 1.647 seconds separate 1st from 46th, Matt came in 5th at 48.094 seconds at a speed of 187.134 driving the 17A test car.
Jan 9th, AM session: Only 2.427 seconds separate 1st from 41st, Matt came in 19th at 48.374 seconds at a speed of 186.050 driving the 17B test car.
Jan 9th, PM session: Only 2.189 seconds separate 1st from 36th, Matt came in 34th at 49.621 seconds at a speed of 181.375 driving the 17A test car.
