OK, so maybe you’re thinking that Kevin Harvick won’t make the chase this year. Maybe you’re thinking that he’ll be bumped down by Dale Jr. Maybe, you’ve even given up all hope and called it quits for the season. Well, I sincerely have to say, YOU’RE ALL WRONG!!!! Harvick has a 120+ point lead over 13th place Dale Earnhardt Jr.! There’s little reason to be nervous. Besides, all Kevin would need is what? 31st or better to make the Chase no matter what? Yeah, sounds easy getting at LEAST a 31th place finish at Richmond. I mean, he’s won there last year! And he’s done well there recently, to say that he will do poorly would be an understatement, despite his recent month-long slump. I know that all you Dale Jr. fans will make fun of me for saying this, but it’s nearly impossible for someone to make up over 100 points in one race in today’s NASCAR. So you 29 freeks, I’d say, let’s just forget that August 2007 ever happened. Basically, it sucked and we all know it. After the Brickyard, things fell apart, but September will be a month of change. Kevin won one race this season, we all know THAT! So, with at least 5 guys having won only one race (teammate Clint Bowyer hasn’t won yet) if he makes the chase (which is a 99.9% possibility), then he would be tied for at least 7th in points with 5010 points! So he would be only -40 from Jeff Gordon in the “EVIL24” (I call it that because I hate the 24). So, like I said, don’t worry about Kevin Harvick being 12th in points because remember, he can still move up in points too, plus he’s most likely in with a 120+ advantage right now!
