Although I’m glad Jeff finished eleventh after salvaging that piece of crap he was driving, I’m disappointed that his crew couldn’t figure out the track. Personally, I think the COT sucks and the makers of the new tires need to be lined up and flogged. I know that if anyone can find winning combinations with new hardware, it’s Jeff and company but I just think this new platform is pathetic. And the NASCAR leadership? Brain dead. They don’t seem to be listening to the drivers concerning these cars and tires. Who would know better about how the tires are? A geeky, paper-cut fearing desk jockey tire designer with a pocket protector and tape on the bridge of his glasses or the DRIVER? Hmmmmm…seems like a no-brainer to me. Kudos to Tony Stewart for lambasting Bad Year Tire Company for providing them with miserable tires and not doing anything about it. Perhaps there is some truth that the drivers need to use Fred Flintstone’s tires on the new Crap-of-Tomorrow, er, Car of Tomorrow.

Hopefully Jeff will be the man to beat next time around at Martinsville. He owns that track.

Best to all!!

Mike
