What did you say thunder?
The Nationwide drivers and the Craftsman drivers will love the"venues" schedules is what we call um where I’m from…and of course the fans will love it…the “venues” are not at one track, pretty simple….there are plenty of “venues” and fans to go around! And far as the market in it’s existing state…hey they’ll just have to drink less beer! Now that might cause a few slaps…lol

Race HEAVEN
I LIKE having so many different races at three different venues. That way, a race fan can MAXIMIZE their coverage of all the different race venues. Most race fans are not exclusively NASCAR fans..we like all racing…and the more racing the better. I wanna go FAST, baby…and it’s ALL good to me.

Three choices for the fans!
I think the race fan has made out this weekend. Three NASCAR series have worked with the Indy Racing series and the ARCA series to fill three venues with race fans.
If only the technology available to our networks would allow us to view them all Live.
Scott Speed on the pole at Pocono after last nights excitment in Texas should be Live. Just my humble opinion.

same as my blog, but yea....
So we have the trucks in Texas on Friday, the Bus—I mean, Nationwide cars on Saturday in Nashville, and the Cup cars in Pocono on Sunday. I think this is a good thing. I think that the Cup and Nationwide series should share events only about 50% of the time. What’s the percentage now? After (if) they sort that out, sprinkle the truck series between those two series to complement when needed. Its a recipe for success lol. I think the best example is the trucks-cup weekend at martinsville. This would also help alleviate the plight of the Nationwide series.
And all of that leads me back to Pocono. Pocono is an interesting track, but does not deserve two dates. Vegas is more deserving money-wise and Kentucky is more deserving fan-wise. (or using this date to help bring back the Southern 500 would also be ok) Only Daytona, Talladega, Bristol, Charlotte, Richmond and possibly Martinsville deserve 2 Cup dates a year. Just think if this Sundays race was ANYWHERE else (except California). You could make Vegas a stand-alone event because you could fill the void with PR stuff or vegas related stuff (i.e. gambling) that the fans are going to do anyway. If this was at Kentucky or even a Rockingham or North Wilkesboro, just pair the Cup date with Trucks or arca or any other lower series that could use the exposure.

Widening the Gap
Widening the Gap
Fans, which the majority is family oriented trying to utilize every dollar for vacations of some sort,, the venue locations play an important role in decisions which determine where the fan/family go and spend what little they do have,,, when one trip to a location can benefit the fan by allowing all races to be seen with little or no travel,, the funds saved allows for item purchases,, races at different venues takes away the opportunity for any race to be seen when they can go somewhere else and budget the savings,,
NASCAR would be wise to ‘Pay Back’ the fan in some way and splitting venues is definitely widening gaps that will only let those fans with little funding to fall between the ever expanding gap between the ruling body and the fan,,, For a small price now,, the bonds that would be built between both parties would benefit NASCAR as well as the fan,, Fuel costs show no sign of lowering and for any sport to break up those races now,, at this time,, with the market in its existing state would be a slap in the fans face,,,
