People say if God was a Nascar driver his name would be Dale Earnhart Sr.
Well who is to say it wasn’t him. Look at the way he touched every ones lives and left smiles on his enemies faces. His death was truly the shot heard around the world. He was the John Wayne of racing.
He is also known by other names “The Intimidator,” “The Dominator,” the “Man in Black” all representative of the driving style he adopted from his father. It is a style not everyone likes and it has, from time to time, brought him punishment from NASCAR.
Nevertheless, he has been nothing less than Dale Earnhardt Sr, a driver many say might just be the best who has ever turned a wheel in NASCAR. He was the best driver to ever put a tire on the track and to take a race car and turn it into a racing beast.
He will be missed for many more years to come. I for one would have loved to see the smile on Dale Sr’s face when Jr had his unvailing of his new number, new sponsors and now driving for Hendrick Motorsports.
After watching what Dale Jr has accoplished this past week it made me think and ponder how happy Dale Sr would be right now. Damm I miss him.
