What NASCAR is all about.
NASCAR:
It’s about friends & family joining with others to enjoy a Sat Night or Sunday afternoon together. It’s about choosing a driver(s) and/or team(s) and rooting for them. It’s about BBQ and tailgating or even sharing some beers. It’s a time to relax and enjoy yourselves. It’s a sport where you not only root for your drivers, but you have friendly rivals with the ones you dislike. Yes fans hate some drivers while others love them, but that’s the beauty of it. You the fans have the choice to like or hate who you want. Even if a driver you hate wins, you should still be happy… happy for the valuable time spent with friends and family. NASCAR is a family tradition!
If your at any other sporting event like a NFL game. If your team looses, are you going to run onto the field and tackle the team? Probably not. The outcome would either be a night in jail or the hospital.
That fact remains that you have a choice on who to like and dislike, but when spectators throw objects at the drivers and officials in the flag stand, that a criminal offense and danger to everyone around you. People can get hurt depending on what’s being thrown. To be a true fan, you have to love and enjoy the sport not result into violence or criminal behavior.
Besides, a championship is not always achieved by how many races won; it usually comes down to consistency.

So True
This tactic of throwing objects has to stop. It is not only dangerous to the drivers they are throwing at, it is also unsafe to the fans in the lower seats at the track. I have been to 2 races at Talladega where there have been numerous things have been thrown with a couple of them almost hitting us. I choose to sit close to the track and do not want to get hit with a half full beer can because somebody doesn’t like the outcome of the race. That’s part of it. You have to understand, your driver can not win every time. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see Jr win every race but I am realistic and understand it doesn’t work that way.
