Both Championships?
I would love it if he took both Championships this year. Wouldn’t that be something I would laugh my azz off to all the people that never mentioned his name and all my friends that said he can’t win one because they always say Steward, Gordon, Johnson. and of course Jr. is so much better. I just say wait and see. His time is coming sooner than they might think. I have noticed though he is getting a lot more recognition
this year. Last year was a joke, being third in points and no one mentioning his name.
07floridafan, I remember that commercial. Yeah I remember it pissing me off something fierce too.

yeah, it can get annoying
It does get annoying when he gets completely overlooked like that… ESPECIALLY since there’s a 120 point difference between him and Stewart, where he’s only 78 points out of 1st at the moment. Not fair, rally but you know how the mediots will be. I truly want Bowyer to win the Championship this year, but even if he doesn’t he’s set a lot of milestones for him and the 07 team this year.

Almost had me
Hi SteelPhoenyx and 29thebomb. I read your responses and you guys had me convinced that you were right, it’s better for Clint to be flying under the radar this year. I’m sure it makes things a lot easier for him if the other teams aren’t looking for him. BUT!!, just a few minutes ago I was watching ESPN over lunch and a commercial for NASCAR came on and basically said “Be sure to watch the race at Martinsville as Jimmy Johnson and Tony Stewart try to run down Jeff Gordon for the championship.” I was asked to leave the restaurant…lol.

Slowly but surely...
Clint is beginning to gather respect from other drivers and among race fans. For now it doesn’t hurt that he is underestimated… give it time though and more will realize he is becoming a force to be reckoned with.
