The Blue Meanie

I don’t understand it. When Clint drives the black car (standard Jack paint scheme) he usually has a pretty decent finish, especially this year. If something does happen to him, it is usually because he overdrove the car. Anytime Clint changes paint schemes, however, (especially to the blue direct TV scheme) trouble seems to find him. Take for example today’s race: Clint was minding his own business, geting ready to pass Hamlin for 5th position, and Hamlin crashes Petty who in turn crashes into Clint. That little bit of luck cost Clint 13 psotions on pit road. He never did get back on the lead lap after that. I will give Clint huge kudos for avoiding that huge wreck later on. He was very close to being taken out by Newman, but was able to swerve and miss him. At any rate, I would wager to guess that if someone were to compare starting positions and ending positions of Clint’s car when he drives the black one or the blue one would see that his races tend to end better with the standard black car. Today’s finish was a rarity…ending 12th after that 42nd starting psoition was a great bit driving on Clint’s part and a great bit of calls from the pits on Gil’s part. Go get them Clint…you can take that champioship. I’m out.
