Okay people, it’s the freakin’ 21st century. As much money as you guys make off these dang races, would you please put up some damn lights. This racing before the dark is STUPID!! I can see that the rain can shorten a race due to the fact that it’s not going to stop, but come on. The darkness should not be an issue. Heck I’ve stayed well past midnight at Charlotte Motor Speedway (yes I still call it that) becuase they had lights. If the rain is going to stop and you’re having trouble running the dang race because of darkness, Build some lights so that the fans get their money’s worth. And when i say money’s worth ii mean everyone, from the 35.00 ticket to the 700.00 ones.

I will say that Pocono under the lights would be cool looking. Dang every track should have lights for just that occassion. For the amount of rain delays we have had over the past what? four to five weeks, you would think these track owners would get a clue and say, “Hey, let’s put up some lights, I know it’ll cost some money, put it’ll keep the fans in the stands.” And did you think it would keep them going back to the concession stands too, not to mention the souveiner stands too. You can’t think that it’s becuase of money they don’t. Think out about it. A night race is sometimes a whole lot better than a day race. It looks cooler to the fans, and the weather is cooler by far. I love going to night races. So do us one thing boys. PUT UP THE LIGHTS and LET’S GO RACIN’!!!
I’ve been told, if you’re afraid of the dark, get a nightlite…well, hop to it!!
