Oil Cover issue
Do you really think they intentionally left it off knowing full well that they would get inspected afterwards. Come on people, if this happened to one of the other “popular” drivers, they would be defending them too. Go Carl! We support you.

This is not acceptable
First off, can someoen please please explain the infraction to me. it sounds like it is something that may be illegal, but practically uncontrollable. Carl said it best for saturday that racing is racing when he got wrecked by mark martin. stuff happens, there is no doubt, and these cars are going 4-500 miles every weeekend. To say they are goign to be the same as when they went into the race is just dumb. Everyone can see that he got inspected prior to the race just like everyone else, and he never lifted hsi hood, so what penalty could possibly arise underneath it. 100 points, no bob osborne, how hard do they ahve to hit carl? NASCAR says they want to go back to their roots this year, but this is not it, this is not it. Carl always gets jipped by NASCAR by infractions that hurt their car to begin with. Remember the chase? they better appeal, i think Bob can work if they are int he appealant process can’t he/

Not happy
about the penalties. In fact, quite p.o.’d. I’m not really interested in the race on Sunday any more. Feel like boycotting. Maybe will change my mind come Sunday, it is addicting to watch.

I Agree
I hope this whole penalty deal gets an appeal too. Most of those NASCAR official’s cars probably wouldn’t pass an inspection either! See my blog I posted earlier!
