I saw the episode this morning with Clint Bowyer. I thought it was interesting. They were white tail hunting in his home state of Kansas. Apparently even though Clint grew up there he was allways racing and wasn’t raised hunting. He started in motorcross at 5 years of age they said and made the move to 4 wheels at age 11.

Seeing as hunting is second to racing in passion for Richard Childress and Bowyer is part of the family now,Clint decided to see what it is all about. Harvick also has taken up hunting since joining RCR,getting his first gun from Dale Earnhardt.

Along on the hunt with Bowyer were both the Labonte brothers and Childress himself. Richard brought the wine of course. Bowyer said Bill Jergen,the shows’s host,(and I probably spelled it wrong)has been an RCR supporter for years.

So Bowyer is up in his tree stand and the first day had way too much changing wind,but the second day was hilarious. Being a home boy and all and not a hunter,when severe weather blew in suddenly and unexpectedly Bowyer thought they’d leave the stand. He said thank goodness for the camera man and his expensive equipment finally for the reason to come in out of it. LOL

Next time out though the deer were every where and Bowyer got a nice one with 1 shot. He seemed pretty content just enjoying the wonder of watching the deer and I’m thinking he’ll go again. All though he may prefer the evening hunt as he mentioned getting up 3 hours earlier then what he thought was early.
