Jr. and 08
I think that Jr. will have a good year next year. With all the stress that he and his crew have been in. I don’t like the fact that he is now teammates with Johnson and Gordon, but I do like that he is in one of the top organizations in NASCAR now. As for his sponsorship, I have heard a lot of rumours going around about Pepsi being his sponsor. For his number I would like to see him go with something to comemorate Ralph and Dale. I know that the numbers 38 and 83 are taken, but why not look outside the box, be unique and have 838 or 383 or something like that. I am not sure if there is a rule or not about that if there isn’t break the chain of 1 or 2 numbers and add 3. Also for one last thing, I know that the stripes on Jr.’s current car are D.E.I.’s scheme but i also feel that it was a great tribute to Dale and I hope to continue to see it on Jr.’s car.

Sponsor for Junior
I have been hearing “rumors” that Junior is going to have SONY as a sponsor in 2008.
But to me… it doesn’t matter who his sponsor is, what make car he drives or what his number is… I’ll remain a Junir fan!!!

Gonna be weird
to see Jr in anything but the 8, but The driver makes the car not the car makes the driver. He will do well no matter what he drives as long as he has good engines. lol

838 continued
Just Food for Thought! I found it curious and an exciting way to show heritage pride and would set precedence in NASCAR history by having the first 3 digit number representation.
Personally I thought that a symbol would be better such as a number 3 then a mirror image facing it making it appear to be an 8 from a distance.

838
My wife asked me an interesting question concerning Jr.’s new number. She asked if there was a rule in NASCAR that address’ the actual number of digits they would allow a driver to display on their car.
Meaning is there a specific rule that says it can only be a 2 or 3 digit number or can it be as many the specific driver wishes?
If that be the case and they would allow larger range numbers, she would like to see an 838 for his number. It would clearly show the dedication to the history in the numbers in two different forms.
• By showing both his Grand-Daddy’s number as well as his Daddy’s
• Then in Chronological Order too by the way the digits are assembled. 8 being hid Grand-Daddy, then his Daddy’s number 3, then Himself by repeating the number 8
