I know that I've been hideously quiet this season, but when you're a fan of the 22 you sometimes feel like keeping a low, low, low profile because of the lackluster performance. With that said, I don't have to keep quiet any longer this season. I am sooooo happy about Cat Racing changing sponsorship next season from BDR to RCR that I couldn't hold back changing my name on here from Cat22Fan to Cat31Fan. Don't get me wrong, I do feel bad for Bill Davis, Dave Blaney and the whole BDR organization. I realize in this day and age with the economy the way it is that getting sponsorship dollars for a small operation like BDR is a formidable task. I hope I don't sound like some phony fan, but I am a race fan first, but a Cat Racing fan second. I didn't complain when a little-known driver named Scott Wimmer took over for Ward Burton and I didn't complain when Blaney took the ride...I just went with the flow and remained loyal to the Cat team. Perhaps some Budweiser drinkers moved their loyalties to Kasey Kahne when the switched their sponsorhip. Anyway, I wish BDR the very best of luck finding a new sponsor for the storied 22 ride. However, I can't wait to see that big Cat logo on the hood of the 31. I can't wait to buy a Jeff Burton/Cat Racing pit cap and I especially can't wait to root for a driver and a team that has done well in points; has the potential to win a few races here and there; doesn't have to be a go-or-go-homer in qualifying; etc, and so. Cat Racing is back baby!!!! Go Jeff Go!!!
