I have been a Petty fan for years. I started as a Richard Petty fan, then became a Kyle Petty fan, and I was an Adam Petty fan. The Petty family is what is best in the sport. They care about their fans, and their fans care about them. When Adam died, it was like losing a member of my own family. I watched Adam grow up, and was quite pleased with how he turned out. I would say that any child that had any of the Pettys as their hero would never be disappointed. I know that I am proud to be a Kyle Petty fan, and many times I have had to defend that. There are too many people out there that will only support a driver that is always in the top ten. I would love for Kyle to be there and I know he could be but, the Petty organization is totally underfunded. They could not hire engineers and test pilots to work on COT. Once they get caught up with the better funded teams, they will again be a force to reckon with.

The first time I was at a race and smelled and heard the cars. It was awesome. Gave me goosebumps.
