Here’s a question I hadn’t thought about until I read this article. We all know that Ryan Newman has said he will leave Penske if the teams performance doesn’t pick up. This is what led to the rumors that Newman will follow Tony Stewart to Haas/CNC Racing. So, if Newmans unhappy….I am about sure that Kurt Busch is unhappy with his teams performance too. Sure, his strategic win at New Hampshire will probably keep him quiet for a while…but for how long? It is obvious (to me) that neither Kurt Busch nor Ryan Newman have been doing as well as they are capable of doing…so will they decide to leave at the end of this year? They are both at the end of thier contracts! So, my question to you is, where will they go? Where will they fit in? WHO will Big Brother Busch and the Rocketman drive for next season? Penske -
definitely has some issues with their cars this year. I think both drivers are great drivers – and have potential. I had no idea both were at the end of their contracts – nothing being said about Kurt at the moment, just Newman so far. Don’t think this past weekends win will have much effect on things – really. But, they both could leave the Penske stable and that would open up a whole area for other drivers up for grabs… Interesting thought!
Hope these dominoes start falling soon.
