Late 60’s I was 6 or 7 yrs old, Richard Petty talking to the fans, signing autographs at the race track, HOURS after the race was over. He and a few fans were the only ones left. He shook my hand. It was like yesterday.

I enjoy traveling to NASCAR Cup races. I love the atmosphere, the excitment, the people and see everything that the event has to offer. I’d liked to find travel companions, people that enjoy travel, seeing new cities, racetracks, and NASCAR events.

Born in Daytona Halifax Hospital. I’m a Florida boy. Raised in Cocoa, Melbourne/Palm Bay Florida. Lived Florida: Gainesville, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa.

I’ve been around racing most of my life. My grandfather was a mechanic in Ocala Fl during Prohibition. He built some really fast cars, these cars had big, empty tanks in the fenders, floorboards and trunk….don’t know what that was for (wink). But, the drivers would leave Ocala for Daytona. While they waited for some boats to arrive, they race each other up and down the beach. At night, they would load-up “something”. And, RUN back for the center of the state, out-running the cops along the way.

I’m very involved in the lives of my children—12 and 14 yr olds, boy and girl. I’m a divorced dad. I’m an avid University of Florida-Gator Football and Tampa Bay Bucanneers fan. I’m involved in competitive Swimming. Swam the Clearwater Beach Patrol One Mile Ocean Swim in June: 26:03
