Having the opprotunity to meet some of the best people that this Sport has to offer at the First Annual Official NASCAR Members Club Convention in Charlotte, N.C.. I was introduced to Mr. Kenny Wallace, Sat next to Benny Parsons, Ned Jarrett, Bobby Allison, and even was introduced to Mr. Humpy Wheeler on HIS track. But the best of all was being able to do 360’s on the Finish Line in my wheelchair!

Being born in Houston, Texas, yes there are more than one, I was raised in the typical Cowboy way. Learning to rope and ride, it eventually became second nature. After relocating, to my father’s Hometown of Cedartown, Georgia I easily accepted the racing scene. Living so close to, Tally, it became an obsession that would follow me for the rest of my life. Now married with three grown children, my wife and I are living a great life deep in the heart of what most would consider the Boonies! Living, and learning to appreciate even the worst things that this life has to offer, I remain an eternal optimist and look forward to every race as if it were the very first one. Now living in Arkansas, and after raising the Kids, putting them thru college and getting them out of the house; living on their own, they keep finding us. My wife, Peggy (LadyThunder), and I are content to relax and enjoy all things that come our way. Looking forward to Grandkids and enjoying all that comes with the title of PawPaw or MeMe, we hope to pass along the Tradition of being a NASCAR fan to the next generation of ThunderStorms. Being a member of the ONMC has opened doors to allow the friends that all people should have the opportunity to meet come into our lives and fill a void that was unseen until the ONMC and all of its members opened my eyes to see. The next great event expected to occur? Daytona, as well as Tally! But if one had to choose, Bristol would be hard to pass up!
