Gallovich Roberto was born in La Spezia a Ligurian town the 17th august 1960. He started in the mid seventies to approach photography as autodidact, playing with a German camera (Zeiss lenses). In 1974 he’s travelled to Venezuela where he photographed the ranchos and the tropical wanders In 1976 he come back to Italy, precisely he moved to Trieste where he shoot the famous gulf, friends, sailing clubs and beautiful boats (Pentax, 35/70 lenses). He went hunting for images in a wet area that recently become a protected zone the “Cone Isle” located at the Isonzo river mouth. During the 90’s he moved to the U.S.A. where he covered the distance between New Jersey and Key West with a small Olympus (Still Life photos). At the end of 1992, after the passage of Handrew hurricane left Miami and flew to Thailand, living together with Poor People by the shadows of golden Buddha. He than moved back to Perugia and he’s now cooperating with the Magione Race Track. Lives and works in: Perugia, Trieste, Florence, Genoa, Berlin.
