I am a former bartender in Cali. I just got a job working for the state of Cali at one of the prisons. I grew up in Bakersfield and my sister, Don, used to race go-karts against Kevin Harvick and Casey Mears back in the day. I have been a NASCAR fan since I was 10 or so, like 27 or 29 years now. I’m not a big fan of all the people that have all of a sudden decided to be a NASCAR fan because it’s finally cool to be one. You know, “I WAS NASCAR WHEN NASCAR WASN’T COOL!” kind of thing. I like the old school stuff and the old school fans who have been here for a while or who are here because they truly love the sport, not because it’s trendy. I do know that change is a part of the sport, but some people just don’t get it and they never will.
