Most memorable NASCAR moment(s):

Monica:
April 6, 2008 at Texas Motor Speedway. I was amazed at the energy that filled the air as the pre-race show was happening. The National Anthem echoed through the track, and the jets’ vibrations were incredible when they flew overhead. To speak to thousands among thousands of race fans was truly an amazing experience for me.
Anne-Marie:
As a teenager, I went to the 1998 Daytona 500 with my family. They’ve always been big Earnhardt fans, so of course they were hoping Dale Sr. would win. I will never forget how loud the grandstands roared when he won. It was amazing. I was at the race with my parents, brother and my Uncle Charles. We went to so many races as a family, but that particular race really stands out in my mind. Last year I suddenly lost my Uncle Charles to a rapid cancer. Every time I get down about losing him, I think about being at that race with him and it makes me smile. It was not only a great NASCAR moment for me, but a great family memory.

Anne-Marie:
Hi Everybody! My name is Anne-Marie Rhodes, and I’m Miss Sprint Cup for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. You may remember me from last year’s SprintSpeed Million sweepstakes. That’s when we debuted at the races and in Victory Lane. I’ve been a NASCAR fan since I could breathe, so naturally I love my job!! I get to travel around, meet fans and just have a great time. Every week I’ll be posting blogs from the races and more pictures, so make sure you stop by often!
Monica:
Hello! I’m Monica Palumbo, Miss Sprint Cup, new this season. I was born and raised in N.C. where I was crowned Miss North Carolina in 2000. I’ve also lived in New York and California while pursuing my career. It has always been important to me to be involved in the community. Most recently, I’ve done a lot with the Special Olympics and Breast Cancer Awareness. And honestly … I tend to be a little quirky and silly. I don’t take myself too seriously! It’s a lot more fun that way!

Other interests:

Monica:
I love animals, especially my two pugs, Dallas and Banks Bentley. I also enjoy theatre, the arts and singing.
Anne-Marie:
I enjoy spending time with my family, painting, modeling, singing, riding four-wheelers and working with my family’s commercial and residential construction company.
