Has to be the death of Dale Earnhardt at Daytona. A very, very sad day in the history of NASCAR.

I have been married to my awesome husband for 10 years and have a 4 year old daughter. I moved to Chicagoland a year ago this past March. I didn’t realize how close I lived to the Chicagoland Speedway until I got tickets to race and drove to the racetrack. I live 10 minutes way. I work for a company who uses R&L Carriers for LTL Freight. July of 2007, we had the R&L show car at our warehouse for part of the day, the Thursday before the race. Nancy and Wade who take the car from city to city were awesome. They are the nicest people you could meet. Our sales rep gave us two tickets for the race. We had pit passes and Hospitality Village passes. There was a Q & A session with Matt Kenseth too. It was incredible. I was hooked! The pictures I took turned out so good I get goosebumps looking at them. We bought tickets to this years race just because I don’t think we’ll be getting them free again this year. I am counting the days until July 12!
