Most memorable NASCAR moment(s):
2001 Daytona 500 will always be one of my most memorable moments. Losing Dale Earnhardt, Michael Waltrip’s win, and the dawning of a new era in NASCAR. Advances in saftey, new sponsors, new legends in the form of Dale Earhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, ect. The then new tv deal, bringing forth an era of media growth that even Neilson ratings cannot hinder. The open-wheel invasion over the past few seasons has brought NASCAR to where it should be… the number two motorsport in the world, not far behind Formula 1. This is a great time to be in this WORLDWIDE sport!
