Profile:
I am a NASCAR fan from across the pond! I spend my Sunday (and Saturdays when necessary) evenings watching America’s best drivers.
I have been following the sport since 1998 – bizzarly this was inspired by diecast models I bought on a family trip to Orlando in 1997.
My original favourite drivers were Rusty Wallace, Michael Waltrip and Sterling Marlin. Of these only Mikey still races every week so I have now begun supporting a number of other drivers as well – notably David Reutimann who I was fortunate enough to meet at the 2008 Daytona 500 and was an absolute gentleman and is a great driver.
Having been to my first race in 2008 (and what a week that was) I hope to go to more races in the future.
