Yeah, I’m one of those guys who used to say, “Real race cars don’t have fenders, or doors, or bumpers, or roofs…” You get the idea. When they announced that NASCAR was gonna race at my home track, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, my response was: “You don’t race greyhounds at Churchill Downs, so you can’t race stock cars at the Brickyard” But, I’ll be damned if those rednecks didn’t roll up here with alot of respect and honor for the track.
So when that chubby little boy from Columbus Indiana went to NASCAR, I went too…
