I’ve became a race fan at the age of six when my dad took me out to the local dirt races at Stateline Speedway. I was completely enthralled with all the sights and sounds, and I fast became a fan of Late Model racing. My dad and I also watched the Indy 500 each year together, so I grew up watching A.J. Foyt, Rick Mears, Danny Sullivan and the Unsers. I became a NASCAR fan after the movie “Days of Thunder”. There was nothing better than watching Dale Sr. each week. He will always be my all-time favorite driver, but I do enjoy watching Elliott Sadler, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch out on the track these days.

Well, besides my total love of auto racing I’m one of those people who just loves to try something new and different! I think life is about experiencing and trying it all. So here’s my laundry list of the things I love to do in my spare time…studying the word of God, helping others in need, volunteering and fundraising for charity, making people laugh, NASA and space travel (got to see a shuttle launch recently!), fishing, skipping rocks, ren faires, dancing (everything from swing, tap, jazz to ballet, riverdance, belly and hip-hop), sailing the high seas in search of booty, pirates, lighthouses, taking bass /mandolin / guitar lessons, playing games of furniture physics, Thriller dancing, fencing, plotting to take over the world, painting, sketching, writing short stories, pretending to be a jalapeno on a stick, photography, riding horses, stealing Stacy’s flip-flops, listening to all different types of music, reading everything from the Chicken Soup books to Stephen King horror novels, movies, making my mother laugh till she can’t breathe, learning new languages (sign, Spanish, Russian and now Irish), SFX, hiking, riding the slide at the City Museum, cows, making snow angels (or dirt angels if there’s no snow to be found), Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey, shopping, buying shoes, going to the theatre, the Fox, the MUNY, Shakespeare in the Park, symphony, musicals, dining out, Casa Gallardo, El Maguey, traveling, touching states, Sew-Sew adventures, aviation, History Museum, going to the zoo, wandering aimlessly around the art museum, arts and crafts, running with scissors, bowling with my pretty sparkly ball, ice skating, roller skating, biking on the Katy Trail, fast cars, pro-stock drag racing, classic cars, muscle cars (I so want a 70’ Hemi’cuda), the Muppets, Pepe the King Prawn, collecting sheep, cutting the tags off mattresses, puzzles, hanging with friends, F-18s, model airplanes, hugging, fossil hunting, flying kites, silliness, snail racing, Veggie Tales, meteorology, tornados, extreme frisbee, playing with my dogs, expanding my horizons, laughing uncontrollably until I almost pee my pants and trying to never, ever take any day for granted!
