giving the speech
was actually a little frightening for me. i hate talking in front of people. i didn’t even like giving speeches in speech, and they were in front of my classmates. so i freaked out a lot, and wrote my speech the day before graduation, with the help of my brother, who thankfully teaches speech at san diego state. but when i actually got up to the podium, i didn’t feel nervous at all. and i hear it was really good. or, that’s what people tell me anyway.
