When I was a teenager,I was at the local track every week it was open watching Mark Martin,Rusty Wallace,and Larry Phillips battle.Just about mid-season in 1980 Tri-State Speedway covered the track with dirt.Mark and Rusty stopped coming and went ASA racing. In 1981 I started racing and still do a few times a year at the local tracks near the Arkansas/Oklahoma state line.
